Oilfield Essentials is for anyone involved in Oil and Gas exploration and drilling. Oilfield Essentials contains twenty three pages of frequently used calculations in day to day Drilling and Oilfield operations. Other functionality includes automatic data saving capacity, Airprint support, Email the results as a pdf, built in checks and limits and a shake to reset function.

The Application is fully self contained requiring only minimal input to perform complex calculations. Drill Pipe, Tubing, Casing, Pipe Displacement and Wireline Specifications are preloaded in the application making it easy to specify sizes and weights. The built in checks and limits are to validate user input, prevent typo's and stop erroneous answers from being returned. The checks and error message setup is such that you will not be prevented from working with values outside the built in limits, rather a warning pops up to let you know the values in question are either very high or very low for a given situation. However where the answer makes no sense at all you will be prompted to check the input. You can leave the application, make a phone call, find a restaurant, play a game, whatever it happens to be then come back to the app and any data that you had entered will still be there. At the press of a button you can capture the results of any page and email them from within the application as a .pdf. Once you are done with a page you can shake the iPad or iPhone and the page will reset.
